Notes from the Farm:
This weekend at our annual 🎃 pumpkin carving party we witnessed a truly heartwarming coming together of families and friends, the young and young at heart. Several community groups who support the farm mission and resident life here in Killingworth were present and each help us keep our goal of being a welcoming community gathering place for all. Please stop in as you drive by at night to witness that awesome display 🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃
The Christmas at the Farm tradition hosted by the committee will continue on December 5th with an even larger roster of community groups including contributions from the Killingworth Lions, the KWO, the Killingworth Land Conservation Trust, the Killingworth Democrats and Republicans, the Parmelee Committee members and more. Santa - We know him! He'll return with his elves for those wishes and photo ops! This, too, is a free event and all are welcome 🎅🏻🎄
Our new picnic tables have already improved the experience for many at Parmelee Farm with their sturdy build and size... and our new sound system makes it much easier to communicate to those visiting the farm for events with music as a bonus feature.
Many thanks to those who have helped raise the funds and supported our efforts to make these improvements possible. ❤️
The information Kiosk is getting a facelift at the entrance to the farm with the help of local Boyscouts, high five to their ongoing efforts over the years at the farm. ⭐
Another high five to Killingworth Land Conservation Trust members for keeping our trails clear and safe for our many walkers/hikers. ⭐️
The Killingworth Historical Society added a beautiful picket fence along the farmhouse front, in keeping with its history in days gone by, and they wrap up open house season where visitors enjoyed displays of killingworth history preserved . Stay tuned for more info on their popular annual holiday market in the post and beam barn to be held on the same day as Christmas at the farm.
Simply put.... better together.
