Tweens Writing ~ Friday, June 5th, 3:30pm-4:45pm. This is our final meeting before summer break! (We will be starting up again in September.) At this session, we are celebrating our Tween Writers. Each writer has chosen a piece, or part of a piece, to read out loud. Parents, relatives, friends, and supporters are all invited to the reading, which will be held in the library's meeting room. It was another fantastic performance by the Grove School Children's Theater Troupe! They brought us under the sea to enjoy the story of The Rainbow Fish, much to the delight of a full house audience. The library extends many thanks to the actors and their director, and we look forward to more theater fun in the future!

Mark your calendars: two summer favorites return to the library in just a few weeks! We're kicking off summer reading with our 6th annual Life-Sized Candyland on June 20th ~ visit activity sites around the library, collect prizes, and have fun! Read & Eat returns on June 25th ~ storytime and a picnic lunch served up by the Killingworth Women's Organization. No registration is necessary for either of these programs. Meet K9 Jules TONIGHT at the library, as part of our American Girl Doll Club ~ Thursday, May 28th, 6:00pm-6:45pm. Nicki Fleming, the doll we are learning about, is interested in service dogs - and we are fortunate to have Sergeant Cynthia Torres and K9 Jules joining us! We will learn about Jules' training and how they work together when they respond to calls for service, support survivors, and do programming for community outreach. The Rainbow Fish Play ~ Wednesday, May 27th, 10:30am-11:00am. Marcus Pfister's classic tale comes to life, as we meet a cast of colorful characters who teach us that we are only as beautiful as we are kind. This short play will be performed by the Grove School Children's Theater Troupe from Madison. We are happy to welcome them back! The program is suitable for all family members.
