FTX Part 1: Hand Gr***de Course & Day/Night Land Navigation 🧭💣

From navigating unfamiliar terrain during the day and night to sharpening our skills on the hand gr***de course, this FTX challenged cadets to apply their training, build confidence, and strengthen teamwork. Each event provided valuable hands-on experience while developing leadership, discipline, and the skills needed to become future Army officers.

Joining us for this FTX was CH Craig Packard from the U.S. Army South Central Chaplain Recruiting Team, Grand Prairie, TX.

The Houston Battalion continues to grow, train, and excel through hard work.

Congratulations to CDT White on being named Alpha Company Cadet of the Month and to CDT Raines on earning Bravo Company Cadet of the Month. Your dedication and hard work sets a strong example for the battalion.

We also congratulate our newly contracted cadets as they begin the next chapter of their journey toward becoming Army officers.

.

Reflecting on the past month, our Cadets, and their companies, have accomplished a lot. They have shown their commitment by showing up to their labs, participating, taking notes, and executing what is expected of them.

Here we would like to recognize some special moments for our Companies. Especially, a big applause to Bravo Company for winning the Drill and Ceremony company competition. As a reward, they earned a guidon streamer for them to parade proudly during formations. We also made sure to celebrate some of our Cadets for their birthdays, showing our appreciation and thankfulness in their special days.

Lastly, our Cadets have done a marvelous job honing the basics through the warrior skills, first aid, weapons instruction, etc. We wish everyone a clear mind as we approach midterms.
