Harris County Treasurer, Carla Wyatt "is actively facing a misdemeanor DWI charge out of Galveston County. In May, just weeks after a grand jury declined to indict her on a previous criminal burglary charge, Wyatt was arrested in Galveston County for allegedly driving while intoxicated...

Before that, she was arrested last December and accused of breaking into another person’s vehicle in a restaurant parking lot with intent to commit theft."

You may never know who that person is or what your presence meant to them. That's one of the strange and meaningful parts of this job.

Our Mayor comes to our roll calls, FOP meetings, goes on ridealongs, and actively participates with our officers in making Houston safer on a daily basis. We love our Mayor and he loves Houston.

Can NYPD say the same thing about their Mayor?

It was an honor to see former Congressman Kevin Brady at Houston City Council this morning.

For years, Congressman Brady fought to eliminate the unfair Social Security provisions that penalized police officers and other public servants, repeatedly introducing legislation to correct the injustice. Although he retired from Congress before the Social Security Fairness Act finally became law, this fight was truly a labor of love for him.

The Houston Police Officers’ Union is proud to thank and honor Congressman Brady for his years of persistence, leadership, and commitment to the men and women who serve our communities.
