Houston Marines Officer This is a page dedicated to those elite members of the community who wish to become Marine Corps Officers.

If you have questions about becoming a Marine Officer, your best resource for information is an Officer Selection Officer (OSO). Your OSO will answer questions and help you decide which commissioning program best suits you. Once you have made the commitment to become an officer, your OSO will guide your physical training regimen and otherwise prepare you for the challenge of becoming a Marine Officer.

In the United States Marine Corps, lawyers aren’t just attorneys — they are officers first. Every JAG completes Officer Candidate School, commissions as a Second Lieutenant, and attends The Basic School before moving on to Naval Justice School.

If you’re in law school (or planning on it) and want leadership, service, and challenge beyond the courtroom, the Marine Corps JAG program may be your path.
