✨ BEHIND THE BUSINESS: Handcrafted Creations by Aubrie! 🧁💗

This week, we're getting to know Aubrie Santiago, the talented baker behind Handcrafted Creations by Aubrie, where Mexican roots, family traditions, and a whole lot of love come together to create something sweet!

🏡 A Little Taste of Abuela's Kitchen!

If Handcrafted Creations by Aubrie had a personality, Aubrie says it would be homey, welcoming, and a little quirky! Her goal is to make every customer feel like they're stepping into their abuela's kitchen, where everything is made with love, there's always something delicious to eat, and everyone is welcome.

💗 The Secret Ingredient? Grandma's Approval!

Here's something you might not know! Aubrie's grandma is her official taste tester! Getting her stamp of approval is one of the most special parts of Aubrie's baking journey. Every creation comes from her genuine love of baking and sharing that love with others.

🐷 DON'T MISS: The Marranitos!

If you're trying Handcrafted Creations by Aubrie for the first time, Aubrie says her marranitos are a MUST! These traditional Mexican pan dulce treats hold a special place in her heart and are the perfect introduction to the nostalgic, Mexican-inspired flavors that make her bakery unique.

And of course, everything has to be ! 💕

👏 Let's show Aubrie and Handcrafted Creations by Aubrie some love! Supporting small businesses means supporting the passion, traditions, and families behind them.

📸 THROWBACK THURSDAY: HONDO EDITION! ✈️

Talk about a blast from the past! 👀

Take a look at this incredible aerial photo of the former Hondo Air Base, now home to Hondo Regional Airport!

Did you know Hondo once played an important role in training military aviators?

Originally established in 1942 during World War II, Hondo Army Airfield served as one of the world's largest navigator training schools, training more than 14,000 navigators! The base was later reactivated in 1950 for flight and navigator training during the Korean War.

While nearly all the buildings pictured here are no longer standing, one piece of history remains! One of the original barracks buildings is still standing today and is used by the Hondo Art League. 🎨

The history of Hondo Air Base continues to live on at Hondo Regional Airport, where a collection of historic photographs and memorabilia is on display, offering a glimpse into this fascinating part of Hondo's past!

💬 Now we want to hear from YOU! Does anyone remember the old air base or have family members who trained or worked here? We'd love to hear your stories!
