🚧 Street Work Ahead!

Holbrook will be applying HA5, a pavement preservation treatment, to several Hondo streets September 12th -22nd. This treatment adds years to the life of our asphalt, gives you a smoother and safer ride, and saves the community money by putting off costly replacements.

What to know:
📍 Streets: SEE THE MAP KEY
⏰ Work runs two days. Streets will close at 7 AM and reopen around 7 PM each day so residents can get home.
🚗 Please don't park on or within 50 feet of a street being treated. Vehicles left in the way will be towed at the owner's expense.

ATTENTION

Medina County has implemented a burn ban effective Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at midnight. A burn ban is a county law. Our current drought index is over 650; which is extreme danger for burning. During the burn ban, the process to be permitted to burn is that you will need to have a signed Burn Exception on file with the Medina County Office of Emergency Management & Fire Marshal's Office. You can obtain the form by calling and requesting it to be emailed to you. We will email you the form and the State laws on burning. Once you sign the form, you can email it back. When we have a signed form on file, you need to call the day before you want to burn and we will check the conditions to make sure that we meet the requirements by State law. Once you have a form on file, you do not need to file a new form. For those who have forms on file already, you just need to call the day before you want to burn.

We only answer calls for burn requests Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. We do not answer those calls after hours, weekends, or holidays. Call our office number 830-455-0129 because it will ring to both of our phones.

Outdoor Warning Siren on Friday, 9/4/2026

The outdoor warning sirens will be tested Friday, 9/4/2026, at noon. Every month we test the outdoor warning sirens on the first Friday of the month at noon. There is no action that is needed to be taken; this is a test to verify operational capability.
