We got to celebrate with our friends at Walmart on Coldwater Road the other day at their grand reopening! Major changes inside the store with signage, technology, mother room, and fashion are ready for you to see, use, and buy! Store Manager Hatem and team worked hard to bring this to fruition. Our board member Shelly Lehman was there as well.

Donations from Walmart stores, Sam's Club, the distribution center, and milk processing plant are vital to fulfilling our mission. Walmart has also served on our board for years, and volunteers regularly throughout the year. Lastly, they donate monetarily as well! As they did with a $1,000 gift at the ceremony. We were just one of the organizations who received a gift.

Our annual, week-long closure is coming up!

Every year in July, CHFB shuts down for one full week. This year, we will be closed July 3rd through July 12th.

ALL operations will be closed!

Happy Fathers Day! Today we’re celebrating the dads (and dad-like figures) who keep us laughing and supported all year long.

We are inviting you to tag that father / father figure in your life to enjoy some dad jokes! At CHFB, our supporters decorate grocery bags and this particular batch was loaded with classics ... you know, the kind that make you groan, roll your eyes, and secretly smile anyway? 😩🙄😅

Dear WANE 15,

Your Day of Caring last Friday worked wonders...our shelves are full! We see ~100 families a day. So the food you see here is such a relief for so many households!

We've had outstanding volunteer effort to help stock full our pantry. And we want to thank again all the viewers, businesses, and monetary donors who made this possible.

Everyone involved set an example that should be followed. Consider a donation to a cause close to your heart. We promise...it feels great! Thank you to WANE staff, who yet again used their power and personality for good.

To celebrate our 50th anniversary, Matthew 25 is partnering with Precision Cuts Barber Shop to give back to our community!

📅 Monday, June 29th
⏰ 10:00 AM – 3:30 PM
📍 Matthew 25 (413 E. Jefferson Blvd., Fort Wayne)
Precision Cuts’ team will be onsite providing FREE haircuts for boys and men ages 6+.

✅ Men do NOT need to be a Matthew 25 patient to participate!

We are working to offer free women’s haircuts at a future event, so stay tuned!

We help low-income senior citizens with two bags of groceries every month. And we fill a lot of them.

This is a state run program that requires an age of 60 or older, income verification and ID. Qualifying seniors receive two bags of groceries per month, for one year. After which, you must reapply. Groceries include canned vegetables, canned fruit, pasta, beans, juice, cereal, cheese, and more.
