We currently have immediate openings with our counselors and are here to support all individuals through life’s challenges with compassion, care, and hope.

While we do suggest donations to help support our services, no one is ever turned away because of an inability to pay.

If you or someone you love is looking for support, encouragement, or a safe place to begin healing, we are here for you!

God never asked us to carry every burden on our own. Caring for your mental health isn’t a lack of faith. It can also be an act of faith. Throughout Scripture, we see Jesus stepping away to rest, pray, and reconnect with the Father. Taking care of your mind and heart matters because you matter. God created us as whole people (mind, body and spirit) and He cares deeply about every part of our well-being. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally exhausted, remember this: seeking support is not weakness; it’s wisdom. Healing often begins when we take the courageous step to receive help. You are seen, you are valued, and there is hope.

We are so grateful for residents like Misty, who has been lending a helping hand as we prepare for our Annual Gala. Misty’s willingness to serve is a beautiful reminder of that. Her strength, perseverance, and steady spirit continue to inspire us as she walks her own journey with courage and grace. Watching her give back while continuing to grow is a reflection of the hope and encouragement we strive to share every day. Thank you, Misty, for being such an important part of the Hope Alive family and for showing us what resilience and hope in action look like.

We’re also excited to invite our community to join us for our Annual Gala on September 18th from 5:30–8:30 PM at Brookside Church in Fort Wayne, IN 46835. We can’t wait to celebrate the stories, lives, and impact that make Hope Alive so special.

Mental health struggles are more common than many people realize, and the need for support here in our community is real.

• In Allen County, 1 in 4 adults report struggling with anxiety.
• Nearly 1 in 4 local youth say they have no one to talk to about depression or suicidal thoughts.
• Fort Wayne faces a 670:1 mental health provider shortage.

God never intended for us to walk through pain alone, and healing often begins when we feel safe, seen, heard, and supported. This Mental Health Awareness Month, we encourage you to check in on your loved ones, give yourself grace, and remember that seeking help is not weakness. It is is courage. There is hope, there is healing, and there are people who care.

During Mental Health Awareness Month, all of us at Hope Alive want to remind you that your mental health matters deeply. In a world that constantly tells people to “push through” and keep going no matter how heavy life feels, we want you to know that it is okay to slow down, ask for help, rest, heal, and take care of yourself!

Loving Jesus and caring for your mental health can exist together beautifully. You can have strong faith and still struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, exhaustion, or emotional pain. God is not disappointed in you for needing support. He sees every hidden hurt, every silent battle, and every weary part of your heart with compassion and love.

Sometimes healing looks like prayer, sometimes it looks like counseling, sometimes it looks like community, and often it looks like all of those things together.

You were never meant to carry life alone, and there is strength in reaching out and allowing others to walk beside you. This month and every month, we pray you give yourself the same grace, patience, and kindness that God so freely gives to you.

Sheila’s story is a beautiful reminder that God still restores even in our hardest seasons. Through counseling, community, faith, and support at Hope Alive, Sheila rebuilt her life, restored relationships with her children and grandchildren, stayed committed to her job, and was able to purchase her own car. What once felt impossible is now part of her testimony. We are so honored to walk alongside women like Sheila as God continues to heal, provide, and remind them of their incredible worth.

We are so excited to introduce the newest member of our Hope Alive team, Charica! Her heart for family, faith, and meaningful work makes her a beautiful addition to our ministry, and we invite you to join us in warmly welcoming her as we thank God for leading her here and pray that He continues to guide her steps, bless her work, and use her in powerful ways as she serves alongside our team and walks with the women and families we are called to love and support.
