🩵✨Faces of Recovery

Meet Tiffany, one of the many courageous women in our Faces of Recovery series. Through YWCA Northeast Indiana’s addiction recovery program, she is reclaiming her life, finding hope, and building a brighter future. When asked what the program means to her, Tiffany shared, "I was one wrong step away from losing custody of my son, I didn't have any family to support me, and I felt bound to alcohol. This place saved me and kept me and my son together". We’re proud to stand alongside women like Tiffany as they take bold steps toward healing and empowerment.

👉Join us in raising awareness for substance use disorder at our upcoming event, Music for a Mission: Healing with Harmony. Together, we can support recovery, celebrate resilience, and create lasting change in our community.

"My prologue moment was the day I understood that trying to hold everyone and everything together was slowly pulling me apart. As a daughter, wife, mother, and leader, I spent years putting myself last—until my father's dementia journey taught me that resilience isn't sacrificing yourself for everyone else, and strength isn't about carrying everything alone. It's about asking for help, setting boundaries, and learning that caring for others starts with caring for yourself."

-Melissa McKown (CEO, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Fort Wayne)

Throwback Tuesday ✨

As we approach the 30th annual Circle Luncheon, we’re taking a look back at the legacy of this iconic fundraiser for YWCA Northeast Indiana. Thirty years ago, a group of women were told they would never be able to raise a significant amount of money for a charity. Well, they proved them wrong. 100 women came together and gave $100 each and that is where the Circle Luncheon began.
Thirty years later, we still ask attendees to give $100 each to raise vital funds for YWCA Northeast Indiana's domestic violence services. Join us this year as we continue building hope and empowering our community! Tickets can be purchased on our website (https://ywcanein.org/circle/) 💜

September is National Recovery Awareness Month! 💜

At YWCA Northeast Indiana, we’re proud to support women on their journey to recovery through our dedicated addiction recovery program. This month, we’ll be sharing resources and ways you can get involved as we shine a light on the power of recovery.

Stay tuned as we build momentum for our upcoming fundraiser, Music for a Mission, where we’ll celebrate hope, healing, and community together. Let’s break the stigma and uplift every step of the recovery journey—because recovery is possible, and no one walks alone.

"I realized that I was good at what I did for a living one random morning. A few months later it, occurred to me that I worked for some folks who were bad at what they did for a living. A year later, it occurred to me that if I was good at what I do, I owed it to myself to work hard, become great, and replace the folks who were bad at it."
