Saturday evening update: Confidence is high that we're going to have storms across our area during the Monday - Tuesday morning timeframe. Confidence is much lower on exact storm timing, or where those storms will be.

We'll continue to narrow the forecast as it gets closer.

We will need to stay weather aware Monday afternoon into Tuesday, as we are currently in a slight risk for severe weather.

Severe thunderstorms are possible across Oklahoma and western north Texas beginning late afternoon on Monday and into the overnight hours. All hazards are possible.

We are looking to hopefully dry out by Halloween, but there is another chance of severe weather returning Monday into Tuesday. We will continue to monitor and keep everyone updated as we get closer.

Also, don't forget that Daylight Saving Time ends this weekend! Remember to set your clocks back one hour Saturday night.

It will be another warm day with high temperatures in the low to mid 80s. Rain chances will develop this afternoon and this evening in the southwest, then spread northeast overnight.

Evening activities planned this weekend? Friday evening is looking rather wet with widespread 50-70% chances for rain. By Saturday evening most of the rain should move out of the forecast area. Otherwise, both evenings will be cloudy and cool with light winds.

WEATHER OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT – 10/26/26

Currently, it is 73° and mostly cloudy.

This afternoon, expect partly sunny skies with highs in the upper 70s. South winds will be around 10–15 mph.

Tonight, skies will remain mostly cloudy, with a 50% chance of showers after midnight. Overnight lows will drop into the upper 50s, with south winds around 5–10 mph.

🌧️ Rain Chances Today Through Tuesday

According to the National Weather Service in Norman, light rain is possible across the area tonight into Tuesday. Rain chances will gradually shift eastward overnight and into Tuesday morning. Rainfall amounts are expected to remain light, generally under a quarter of an inch for most locations.

📅 Looking Ahead to the End of the Week

An unsettled weather pattern is expected to develop Thursday into the weekend. The current outlook shows a 10–20% chance of receiving more than 1 inch of rain Thursday through Saturday. The higher rainfall chances and heaviest amounts are currently favored across southwestern Oklahoma and western North Texas, with lighter amounts expected farther north.

The heaviest rainfall is currently expected Friday into Friday night, although timing and amounts may change as the forecast develops.

Low rain chances arrive in northwest Oklahoma on Sunday night, and gradually expand south and east Monday into Tuesday morning. Rainfall amounts are forecast to be light.
