Be sure and attend the upcoming Leader Lesson, Wednesday, August 27, 2 pm at the Garfield County OSU Extension Office. No cost or reservations required.
Topics are Dancing for the Health of It and Ultra Processed Foods. There will be hands on activities for both of these lessons, along with handouts. Groups can choose which one to present at their meeting in September. This is a slight change from what was listed in your handbooks due to unforeseen circumstances. We will be learning about Ultra Processed Foods and building a better diet as well as easy chair exercises to music and including a special activity to strengthen your hand muscles. Join us for some fun activities.

Join us at the Garfield Cty OSU Extension Office Thursday August 13, 10:30-4 for a fair project work day. Bring your project/s and spend time with friends completing some of these ufos. Bring a dish to share at lunch.

Join us 2 pm Wednesday (tomorrow)at the Garfield County OSU Extension office for lesson on Easy Cooking for 1 or 2. No charge and get recipes for the grill, crockpot, and oven. Also samples. See you there

Sew Your Own Apron Workshop
Is improving your sewing skills something you have on your to-do list? The Oklahoma Home and Community Education group along with Garfield County OSU Extension Office is hosting a free workshop Monday, June 29 from 3-6 pm at 316 East Oxford, Enid. The class is free and the pattern will be provided. Each participant will need to provide a 1 yard cut of 100 % cotton fabric for the apron. Bring a cut of red, white or blue and fabric will be available for your accent pocket/s. Each participant will need to provide a sewing machine in good working order, sewing supplies such as thread, scissors, and pins. If you are interested in participating, please reserve your place by calling 580-237-1228 by June 24. If you don’t have a sewing machine, please note that when registering and one will be available for your use that afternoon. Sewing volunteers will be assisting that evening.
