County State Aid Highway 23 will be reconstructed during the 2026 construction season, from Edgewood Street to County Road 127.
Work will include:
Reconstructing CSAH 23 with two 12-foot driving lanes along with 6-foot paved shoulders.
A shared use path.
A “Green T Intersection” At CSAH 23 and Edgewood
Culverts will be replaced as needed.
All driveways will be paved to the limits of disturbance.
All disturbed areas will be seeded for final turf establishment.

Detour Route and Traffic Maintenance:
CSAH 23 from Edgewood St. to CR 127 will be closed to thru traffic and detour for the duration of the project. The detour will utilize HWY 10, HWY 25 and Sherburne CSAH 16

This project will be constructed in two stages:
(Stage 1) will be from the Elk River to CR 127.
(Stage 2) will be from Edgewood St. to the Elk River.

The contractor is required to provide access to the landowners within the project limits. This will also include home deliveries, local garbage collection, and emergency services. There will be times when the road is entirely closed, due to centerline culvert installation or general road construction, which may require you to go the opposite direction to get to your destination. We realize that this work will be an inconvenience, however it is the only way to get some of the necessary work completed in a timely manner.

Proposed construction timelines:
Stage 1: June 15 to Aug. 3
Stage 2: Aug. 3 to Oct. 16

Please obey all signs and instructions. Please drive safely and proceed with caution around all construction equipment
