We had a great time at the opening day of the Otsego Farmers Market on Tuesday, connecting with community members and sharing information about local elections and happenings around town.

We enjoyed meeting both new and longtime residents. Several visitors shared that they had recently moved to Otsego, while others told us how much they appreciate receiving the Otsego newsletter, enjoy the kayak rental program, and are looking forward to the new fire station. Many stopped by to learn about upcoming events and find out where and how to vote.

The market provided a great opportunity to help residents discover programs, events, and resources they may not have been aware of. We also had many participants enter our drawing for an Otsego Merch Bag. Congratulations to Ashley Gallup, our lucky winner!

Thank you to everyone who visited the Otsego City Booth. We truly appreciated the opportunity to connect with our community and look forward to seeing you again soon!

The Otsego Fire Station may not be opening its doors until 2027, but you'll start to see more activity around the station in the coming months. We're beginning to move equipment into the facility and will be conducting training for your future firefighters as we prepare for opening day.

Be sure to check out the new Free Little Library located in front of the station near the flagpole! A special thank you to our Mayor for donating some of the very first books to help get it started.

We're excited to continue building this important resource for our community and look forward to serving you from our new home in 2027.

🚒 Otsego Fire Department Video Series – Part 11 (Final Video in the Series)

Take a behind-the-scenes look at the new Fire Department Emergency Storm Shelter.

Located within the new fire station, this shelter features a double-wall design and was constructed to meet building code requirements. It can safely accommodate up to ten occupants and provides a secure refuge for Fire Department, Sheriff's Office, EMS, and other personnel during severe weather events.

Designed to remain fully operational even if the rest of the facility becomes unusable, the shelter is equipped with a dedicated backup generator to ensure continued functionality when it matters most.
