Superintendent Search Update: Community Survey Results Available

Thank you to everyone who shared their perspectives through the Community Input Survey as the SDPC Board of Trustees searches for the district's next superintendent.

The feedback received will help inform the Board as it considers the leadership qualities, experience, and priorities that are important for SDPC's next leader.

The survey results are now available for the community to review.

MoodleUS has applied a patch to the nationwide outage yesterday. We have tested our systems this morning, and PCVA courses all seem to be online. If you're having a problem, first log out of any tab you are signed into and restart your Chromebook. If you have other issues, you need to power wash your Chromebook. Reach out to your teachers if you are still having issues.

Most courses in PCVA, 360 Academy, and VirtualSC are on the Moodle Learning Management System (LMS). There is a nationwide issue with this platform, so it is currently unavailable for use. Computer engineers will work through the night on repairs and fixes. Check again tomorrow after 11 AM.

Students taking the following courses in Canvas or Schoology may and should continue working:

Middle School Physical Education - Schoology

PCVA Personal Finance - Canvas

PCVA Algebra 1 - Canvas

PCVA Pre-Calculus CP - Canvas

PCVA Earth Science - Canvas

Thank you for understanding! We hope everything is up and running again tomorrow.

Sincerely,

Lori Gwinn

PCVA Director

Moodle, where most of our courses are housed, is down. They're working on a system repair. Courses in Canvas are not impacted. If you have a course in Canvas - Earth Science, Personal Finance, Pre-Calculus, Algebra 1, etc -- Keep working!

Many students in PCVA speak multiple languages fluently. If you are classified as a Junior or Senior check with your high school counselor to find out how to earn the Seal of Biliteracy. Applications are due by Dec 11.

Luke is a student in PCVA’s 360 Academy! For 3 years we’ve watched him grow academically. Now we can celebrate his dedication to running with the Liberty High School Cross Country team!
