Status update: feeling campsick. 🌲☀️

The summer may be over and the school year already in session, but we haven't forgotten about all of the fun we had at Summer Day Camp. As the days grow shorter and the weather gets colder, we're thinking back to all of our camp memories to keep us warm.

We'll be spending our school year planning for more fun to come-- we can't wait to see you all again in 2027!

We’re hiring Environmental Educators to join our team at Pocono Environmental Education Center! If you love working outdoors, leading hands-on science activities, and sharing the wonders of nature with youth and community groups, we want to hear from you.

✨ Position Highlights:
Gain real-world, field-based teaching experience in a supportive environment.
Lead guided hikes, outdoor skills, and environmental science lessons.
Connect people of all ages to the natural world.

Whoooo do we hear at night? 🦉

The Barred Owls’ call sounds like “Who cooks for you? Who cooks for you?”

The soft wing feathers of the Barred Owl allow them to fly silenty and ambush prey without any noise.

Listen for the Barred Owl and other nocturnal critters during our Full Moon Hike, Saturday, August 29, 8:00-9:30pm, $5/person.
