📍 Beyond the Bases: La Popular Food Company

Some Ballpark businesses are newer additions to the neighborhood. Others have been part of its story for generations.

La Popular Food Company has been making homemade Mexican food in Ballpark for decades using family recipes and traditions that have been passed down. Today, the family-owned business continues that legacy right here at 2033 Lawrence Street.

Stop by for fresh-ground masa, corn tortillas, tortilla chips and salsas, along with pastries made fresh daily or enjoy burrito, tacos, enchiladas or a combination plate, and even take home tamales!

Nearly 80 years later, La Popular is still doing what they do best: feeding people, preserving traditions and giving generations of customers a reason to keep coming back.

This weekend wasn’t about what’s new, where to eat or what show is happening tonight. It was about taking care of the blocks we all share.

Our community came together for the Post-Season Sweep, spending the morning picking up litter, cleaning up our streets and showing a little love to the neighborhood so many of us call home, work in and visit.

The Rockies season may be wrapped, but there’s still a little post-season work to do around the neighborhood. 🧹⚾

🍳 11 AM–12 PM: Free brunch at Mexico City Restaurant & Lounge

Join us on Saturday, October 10 for the Post-Season Sweep, a community cleanup bringing Ballpark neighbors, businesses and community partners together to give our streets a little extra love after a busy baseball season.

Whether you live here, work here, own a business nearby or simply want to get more involved in the neighborhood, this is an easy way to pitch in, meet some of the people who make up the Ballpark community and help take care of the place we all share.

The Ballpark General Improvement District will provide all cleanup supplies and PPE, but if you have a favorite rake, broom, shovel or wagon, you’re welcome to bring that along too.

Its October and Ballpark has plans 👀

From movie nights and creative markets to comedy, workshops, football, trivia, singles events and a murder mystery, there’s plenty happening around the neighborhood all month long and as we get closer to Halloween, things are getting a little spookier too.

We’re talking witches, tricks, tattoos, pumpkin painting, Scream and more reasons to actually leave the group chat and make some plans.

And keep checking back, there’s always something happening around Ballpark.

📍 Beyond the Bases: Brews N Birdies ⛳🍻

Whether you actually know what your handicap is or you’re mostly here for the drinks and friendly competition, this spot is built for both. Besides one-time simulator sessions, they also offer social leagues along with options for golfers who want to practice and play no matter the weather.

There is a full bar with craft b**r and handmade cocktails, making it an easy option for an after-work hang, date night or a group outing where you want to do something besides just sit at a table.
