City and County of Broomfield (CCOB) Motor Vehicle Specialist Grace Fossell was selected as a recipient of the 2026 Colorado Governor’s Summer Job Hunt Youth Award. Nominated by Broomfield Workforce Center Youth Specialist III Marci Machuga, Grace was recognized for her extraordinary perseverance, professional growth and commitment to public service. Transitioning from a participant in the youth workforce programs to being an intern at the Clerk and Recorder’s Office and ultimately securing a permanent, full-time role serving Broomfield residents in the Motor Vehicle Division.

"Her story represents exactly why youth workforce programs matter so much," said Machuga. "Grace didn't simply receive assistance finding a job; she received an opportunity to discover her strengths, build confidence, overcome barriers and thrive in a sustainable career. Her journey from a quiet 17-year-old mother to a confident City and County of Broomfield employee is truly inspiring."

CCOB congratulates Grace on this well-deserved statewide achievement!
