In anticipation of increased activity at the Adams County Government Center on Tuesday, Nov. 3, most in-person county services will not be available to the public to accommodate Election Day operations. Election operations, the Sheriff’s Office, and the Treasurer’s Office will operate as usual. Additionally, the Human Services Center, which will also serve as an election site, will remain open to the public with regular services available. Public hearing has been canceled.

For other services, residents are encouraged to access county services online at adamscountyco.gov.

Regular in-person services are expected to resume Wednesday, Nov. 4.

Our annual North Pole Gift Shop is back on Saturday, Dec. 5! In partnership with Be the Source, this event allows families to shop for gifts for the holidays and for their kids to do the same for their care takers. There will also be sweet treats and hot cocoa bar, activities for kids, and much more!

Registration will open Thursday, Nov. 5, at 7 p.m. There is limited space and spots will fill up quickly, so we recommend registering as early as possible. The registration link will be available here: adamscountyco.gov/our-county/human-services/outreach-events/north-pole-gift-shop/

Our annual Veterans Day Recognition Event is happening on Saturday, Nov. 7, 8–9 a.m., at the Adams County Veterans Memorial, 10100 Henderson Rd., Brighton.

Representatives from the Adams County Veteran Service Office and Veterans Advisory Commission and our Board of County Commissioners will make remarks, and the Northglenn High School JROTC Color Guard will be there for the presentation of arms. Individual flowers will be provided for you to place at the Veterans Memorial during the event and over Veterans Day weekend.

We hope you'll join us as we honor those who have served our country.

Congratulations to our FLATROCK Training Center staff!

The Adams County Government, CO Board of Commissioners has named the Flatrock team County Team of the Season, recognizing their hard work and dedication to training law enforcement recruits and officers across the state.

Each academy class brings in an average of 60 new recruits, and the Flatrock team prepares every one of them for a career in public service. They also work tirelessly to improve training for current deputies and officers, who must re-certify every year.

We’re proud of their accomplishments and grateful for their continued commitment to service.

We acknowledged three proclamations during October's public hearings:

🔷 Italian-American Heritage Month: We recognize the achievements, successes, and valuable contributions of Italian immigrants and Italian Americans to Adams County and across the nation.

🔷 Domestic Violence Awareness Month: We honor the strength and resilience of survivors, remember those who have lost their lives, and thank all of those working tirelessly to promote safety, healing, and hope. Adams County Commissioners proudly support the continued development of the Colorado's 17th Judicial District Attorney's Office Family Justice Center, which will bring coordinated, compassionate, and trauma-informed services together under one roof.

🔷 National Code Enforcement and Compliance Month: We recognize the commitment of our Code Compliance team. Code enforcement and compliance professionals play an essential role in protecting the health, safety, and quality of life of our communities.
