Bicycle Colorado uses the tools of education and advocacy to make Colorado one of the most bicycle-friendly states. We encourage and promote bicycling, increase safety, improve conditions and provide a voice for people who ride bicycles in Colorado. With the support of our members and numerous public and private sector partnerships, we’ve made significant strides in improving bicycling since 1992.

We represent the interests of nearly 10,000 members and 2.3 million people who ride a bicycle in Colorado.

Bicycle Colorado was honored to attend the 2026 Denver Regional Council of Governments Awards Celebration and spend time with residents and leaders of the Denver metro region.

We were especially grateful to cheer on the City of Littleton, CO – Government team responsible for planning and building the Safer Streets Littleton Practice Park. It's been great to partner with them to activate the new space.

An additional shoutout to our friend and partner Melissa Hunter with Boulder County's Mobility for All team, who received the Rising Star award. Lastly, congratulations to Emily Kleinfelter, who was not only recognized as part of the City of Littleton team, but also received the Commuter of the Year award. Way to go, everyone!

E-bikes have been a game-changer for riders of all ages and abilities—affordable, good for our air, and a great way to get outside with the people you love.

But safety is a growing worry. One concern is electric motorcycles, or "e-motos."

Colorado needs a statewide solution, and Bicycle Colorado is ready to lead it.

Help us get there. Learn more: https://ow.ly/UeNG50ZGLgv

E-bikes help more people ride farther, more often, and for more reasons, such as commuting, running errands, or just enjoying the outdoors. Bicycle Colorado believes making legal e-bikes accessible to everyone is one part of a safe e-bike strategy for Colorado.

Electric bicycles (e-bikes) are a safe, reliable, and quick method of transportation that can reduce many short vehicle trips. E-bikes also support individuals with medical conditions or mobility issues, helping us all reduce our emissions and reach our destinations with speed and ease.

Thank you, League of American Bicyclists , for hosting this week’s webinar on promoting the adoption of safe e-biking! It was a privilege to present Bicycle Colorado’s strategy for promoting safe e-biking, cracking down on illegal e-motorcycles, and protecting access to legal e-bikes. And what a gift to learn from our peer advocates at NJ Bike & Walk Coalition and MassBike .

Let’s continue to work together to support safe e-biking—a climate-friendly, healthy, and affordable way to get around town and spend time outside with friends and family.

🚂 What could the future of Tennessee Pass look like?

There’s a unique opportunity to bring new energy to a decades-old vision for the Tennessee Pass rail corridor and explore the potential for a connected public trail from Gypsum to Cañon City.

This isn’t about building a trail tomorrow. It’s about bringing Union Pacific, the State of Colorado, local communities, and public partners back to the table to explore what’s possible.

A renewed conversation could help:

🌲 Preserve this incredible corridor for the future
🚲 Connect communities, public lands, and existing trail systems
💧 Protect the headwaters of the Eagle and Arkansas Rivers
🏘️ Support rural communities and local economies
🥾 Expand opportunities for walking, biking, adaptive recreation, and time outside
🚂 Honor the history of one of Colorado’s iconic transportation corridors
