The Pickaway County Community Foundation has launched the pantry project now through the end of the year!

About the pantry project: Instead of collecting physical food items like during a typical food drive, PCCF is collecting monetary donations to make an impact. All donations will be made to the Food Insecurity Pantry Project. Then the project will be awarded through grants to the local food pantries and distribution organizations, helping these organizations purchase food and essential supplies for our neighbors in need.
The idea for the Pantry Project Virtual Food drive came as part of ongoing discussions with other local organizations that provide food to Pickaway County families. PCCF heard organizations have some gaps in what they receive from their distribution partners and looked for ways to fill those gaps. As an example, organizations may receive peanut butter and jelly but no bread. The Foundation’s goal is to be able to provide flexibility to local organizations to meet those ever-changing challenges, with the additional funding.
