RPHF Solid Waste District - Recycling Providing recycling options to Ross, Pickaway, Highland and Fayette County Ohio.

We provide access for various disposal and recycling options for the counties of Ross, Pickaway, Highland, and Fayette.

✅ No Transportation: We do not provide hauling services. Residents are responsible for bringing appliances to the event.
✅ Cleanliness Mandatory: All appliances must be completely cleaned out. We will reject items containing food, clothing, or heavy grime.
✅ Limited Capacity: This event operates on a first-come, first-served basis. The event may end immediately once the collection trucks are full.

HEFTY RENEW PROGRAM NEWS FROM RUMPKE:

As you’re aware, Rumpke implemented the Hefty ReNew program for hard-to-recycle plastics in Greater Cincinnati in 2023. To date, the program has recycled more than 25 tons of material from our customers.

Recently, Hefty notified us that they are discontinuing the Hefty ReNew program nationwide because of declining end-markets for these materials. Hefty is currently working with retailers to remove orange bags from the shelves; however, it may take several months.

Rumpke will continue to process these materials and work with Hefty to recycle the materials until February 2027. We ask that you please discontinue promotions of the program to your residents. We are working with Hefty on notifying customers about the program ending.

Recycling at Rumpke remains vibrant and successful. More importantly, end markets for Rumpke’s traditional list of acceptable items are steady and expanding. Ensuring long-term partnerships for these materials is core for our business success.

While we are disappointed that the program is ending, we will continue with our efforts to ensure our customers can recycle the most amount of material possible.

It’s not an exaggeration to say that Megan Dresbach has made manure her life’s work.

The Pickaway County businesswoman, known as the Ohio Manure Gal, is co-owner and vice president of W.D. Farms LLC., a Circleville company that collects manure and biosolids to apply to farm fields. Her father, Eric, started the company in 1985, and Megan and her brother have been part of the operation since childhood. Learn more at ofb.ag/wastenot.
