Strong readers are creating brighter futures across Pickens County Schools! We are proud to celebrate growth in ACAP Reading Sufficiency data at Aliceville Elementary School, Gordo Elementary School, and Reform Elementary School from last year to this year.

These improvements are a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our students, teachers, reading coaches, administrators, support staff, and families who continue to prioritize literacy and academic success every day. Before we left for Spring Break, our 6th graders at Gordo Elementary proudly showcased their hard work at the Science Fair!

From creative experiments to thoughtful research, our students demonstrated curiosity and problem-solving skills. It was incredible to see their ideas come to life and hear them confidently explain their projects.

We are so proud of these young scientists and the effort they put into each display. A big thank you to our teachers and families for supporting this meaningful learning experience!
