Hallie has two favorite things: tennis balls and her campfire toy! 🎾🔥 Her current goal? Play with both and have the best time ever. Her only work in progress is figuring out that the game involves bringing the toys BACK to you. 😂 We’ll get there, Hallie!

But one thing she’s already mastered? Being an absolute LOVEBUG. ❤️ Hallie is a big-hearted girl who will happily flop over, show off her belly, and remind you that belly rubs and b***y scratches are ALWAYS welcome.

She’s strong, sweet, affectionate, and happiest when she’s spending time with her favorite people. All she needs is a home where she can be your one and only furry friend. In return, you’ll get a loyal bestie who’s always ready for playtime, walks, and cuddles!

🎾 Want a playmate who will keep you smiling and never turn down a good belly rub? Hallie is your girl!

🍂🐾 November Foster of the Month: Haylee! 🐾🍂

We’re so excited to celebrate Haylee as our November Foster of the Month! ❤️

Since joining the CARE foster family this past summer, Haylee has jumped right in and made such a difference for the dogs (and a few cats!) who have needed a little extra time outside the shelter. She especially loves opening her home to our long-term residents, giving them a chance to decompress, show off their personalities, and experience what life in a home can look like while they wait for their forever families.

One of her most recent success stories is Tony, pictured here! Tony enjoyed his time with Haylee before finding his forever home, and she's currently working her magic with another deserving pup, Rhett!

Rhett is a happy-go-lucky guy with plenty of energy, a love for other dogs, and a heart of gold. He's a little shy when meeting new people, but with some patience, gentle pets, and tasty treats, his sweet personality starts to shine. Having Haylee in his corner gives him the opportunity to build confidence and get one step closer to the happy ending he's waiting for.

Haylee, thank you for choosing to open your home to the animals who need it most, especially those who have been waiting a little longer for their chance. Long-term fostering takes a special kind of commitment, and we're so grateful for the time, love, and patience you give each animal who comes through your door. We couldn't do this without fosters like you!

Help us show Haylee some love in the comments! And if you've ever thought about fostering, we'd love to have you join the CARE foster family, too!

📩 Email [email protected] or visit carehumane.org/foster to learn more.

Say hello to Zafrina, the gentle soul who’s been saving her best side for the right family! 🐾💛

Zafrina is a little reserved when she first meets you, but give her a moment and her sweet, goofy personality starts to peek through. She’s not one to rush. She’d rather ease into things, soak up time with her favorite humans, and enjoy life’s small comforts.

When she’s in the mood for fun, Zafrina is all in. Hop in the car and she’s riding sh***un 🚗, grab the leash and she’s ready to roll, or open the back door for a game of chase in the yard. Once the zoomies wear off, she’ll wander over with her favorite stuffed animal in her mouth, looking very proud of herself, and curl up for some well-earned downtime. 🧸

She’s already housetrained and a quick study, too. Zafrina has “leave it” down and is making great progress on “sit” and “stay,” because nothing makes her happier than getting it right for her people. She’s easygoing with other dogs and would love a laid-back canine sibling to lounge around with.

If you’ve got a calm heart and a little extra patience, Zafrina has a lifetime of loyalty, cuddles, and adventures ready for you. Come meet her at CARE! 🐶

Meet Assam! 🎃🖤

This little guy showed up just in time for spooky season, and honestly, he couldn’t have planned it better. Glossy black coat, big pale green-gold eyes, and he’s already claimed the pumpkin as his personal throne. He’s every bit the classic Halloween cat, minus the bad luck.

Assam’s named after a bold black tea, and he’s just as strong a brew of cuteness. One look at that face and you’ll see he’s steeped in charm.

☕ He’s not just a cup of tea, he’s your cup of tea.
🎃 Forget trick-or-treat. Assam is all treat.
🖤 Black cat, black tea, zero bad luck.
✨ Life’s better with Assam-one special waiting at home.

Skip the costume store this year and bring home the cutest little goblin in town. Come meet Assam at CARE and make this the sweetest Halloween yet! 🐾
