🚨ALBION PD INVESTIGATION UPDATE 🚨

Albion Police officers observed two members of the fire department attempting to impersonate law enforcement personnel by consuming doughnuts during duty hours. 🍩👮‍♂️🚒

When questioned, the suspects claimed they were “just helping with community relations,” but officers noted an alarming lack of coffee and zero radar guns in the vehicle.

Charges currently under review include:
• Impersonating a police officer
• Possession of stolen police snacks
• Excessive confidence while holding pastries

The investigation remains ongoing… although we may let them off with a warning since they did share the doughnuts. 🤝🍩

🚔🍩 A huge thank you to Noble County Communications for dropping off Rise ‘n Roll donuts for the Albion Police Department in honor of National Police Week!

There’s an old stereotype about police officers and donuts… and honestly, Noble County Communications clearly knows us a little too well. Safe to say they know the way to our hearts (and apparently our stomachs too).

We appreciate the thoughtful surprise and all that you do each day to keep our agencies connected and our community safe. We’re grateful to work alongside such an awesome team.

This week, the Albion Police Department joins communities across the nation in recognizing National Police Week and honoring the men and women in law enforcement who have taken the oath to serve and protect.

National Police Week is a time to remember and pay tribute to the officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, and to recognize the dedication, courage, and commitment shown every day by law enforcement officers serving their communities.

We are grateful for the continued support of the Albion community and proud to serve this town each and every day.

Please join us this week in remembering those we have lost and in showing appreciation for the officers who continue to answer the call.

This week, the National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week gives us the opportunity to recognize the true first, first responders—our dispatchers at Noble County Communications.

While officers are out on the streets, it’s the calm, steady voice on the other end of the radio that keeps everything moving. You are the ones answering the calls no one ever wants to make, bringing order to chaos, and making sure help gets where it needs to go—fast.

Your ability to stay composed under pressure, gather critical information, and support both the public and first responders does not go unnoticed. Every call you take, every radio transmission you handle, and every life you impact matters more than words can express.

From all of us at the Albion Police Department: thank you for your professionalism, your dedication, and your heart. We couldn’t do this job without you.

Stay safe, and know that you are appreciated not just this week—but every single day.
