Fawns will start to be born in late May through early June, and it is common for people to come across fawns in yards, parks, and other areas in both rural and more urbanized areas. It is best if fawns remain untouched and left alone. It’s also important that in the event a rehabber is needed, the rehabilitator is contacted BEFORE getting involved. Rehabilitators can decide for themselves IF they have availability to take in wildlife. Additionally, if there is not an option to assist an injured fawn, it is okay to let the circle of life take its course as difficult as that may be.

We are excited to recognize Lisa Graves ( ), Alison C. Berg (UGA Extension), Daniel Remley (Ohio State University Extension), and Michelle Parisi (UGA Extension) for their presentation at the National Health Outreach Conference! 🎉

Their session, "Scaling Impact: Multi-State Extension Strategies for Diabetes Prevention and Management", highlighted how Extension professionals across multiple states are working together to address one of the nation’s most significant health challenges.

Program outcomes demonstrated meaningful impact across participating states. Dining with Diabetes , a 4-week series with a 3-6 month reunion improved diabetes knowledge, self-care behaviors, and lowered HbA1C showcasing the powerful impact Extension programs continue to have in communities across the country. 💙

Thank you to Alison, Daniel, Lisa, and Michelle for sharing this important work and representing on a national stage! 👏
