This was not a walk in the park, or just a stroll down a canal, this was an unbelievable achievement, this was hard graft and exceptional team work, outstanding leadership, resilience, sheer determination, through pain, physical exhaustion and mental fatigue. This was two days of two teams, one road marching 40k and the other group a feet blistering 50k!! Very worthy of the annual WARMA medals. Huge congratulations to our impressive cadets and fabulous adult volunteers. Once again, you have shown great strength and courage to push yourselves to success and have represented our squadron and the Corps with utter pride and the highest of standards. Well done to everyone who participated in this challenging annual event. We are enormously proud of you all.

Great success last week, with our new junior cadets completing their first ever RAFAC course and earning their first blue badge in basic first aid. An important skill for life!

Great team work, camaraderie and outstanding effort from our bronze road marching group today, covering a very impressive 20K! One practice down, one to go!! 🥾 Well done everyone! Huge thanks to our fantastic adult volunteers!

Today, we celebrate and thank our fabulous adult volunteers for the endless dedication and support they all provide across our nation. There quite simply, wouldn’t be our wonderful organisation without them. Thank you for all your hard work and commitment.

Last Week, Greater Manchester Wing hosted our Bi-Annual presentation evening at Peninsula Barracks in Warrington, where Cadets & Adult Volunteers have received awards in recognition of their service to the RAF Air Cadets.

🌟4 Civilian Awards for 12 Years’ Long Service.
🏆 20 Commandant RAFAC Commendations for Meritorious Service.

We was pleased to welcome HM Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire, Lady Redmond MBE CStJ, as our Guest of Honour, who assisted with presenting our Awards.

Day four of National Cadet Week and the important role we have within our community. As we approach Remembrance Sunday, we reflect on those who served and lost their lives for our freedom, ensuring, every year, that their final resting place is well maintained and that their memory lives on.

Cadets enjoyed a thoroughly arresting visit to the National Police Air Service today, with a hugely privileged private tour of the helicopter and behind the scenes. Celebrating National Cadet Week, we had the honour of meeting aircrew and tactical flight officers who keep our communities safe. Sincere thanks to NPAS for such an interesting and interactive experience!

Day 3 of National cadet week and today we shine a light on the importance of good leadership and how this increases their confidence and develops their problem solving skills, all necessary attributes which strengthen our cadets abilities as they head towards their chosen careers.
