Local Jobs Program - Darling Downs Local Jobs supports tailored approaches to accelerate reskilling, upskilling and employment

Workforce Australia - Local Jobs brings together expertise, resources and access to funding at the local level to support job seekers and their communities. The program has a particular focus on reskilling, upskilling and employment pathways and is part of supporting Australia's economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. The Darling Downs Local Jobs Program team can help organisations and emplo

yers better understand and connect with Government programs, services and funding. A Local Recovery Fund is available in our region to support projects that assist job seekers into employment and training. The Darling Downs region has it's own Local Jobs and Skills Taskforce comprised of local representatives who have demonstrated experience in upskilling, reskilling and local economic development. MULTICULTURAL EMPLOYMENT EXPO πŸŽ₯

Great connections made at Toowoomba's first Multicultural Employment Expo, with people from across our diverse community connecting with employers for real job opportunities, asking questions and exploring pathways.

Last month's expo also featured practical workshops on apprenticeships and traineeships, Australian workplace expectations, and info for those looking to start their own business.

Thanks to everyone who came along, and to the employers who helped create such a positive and practical event!

Delivered in partnership with Welcoming Australia, Toowoomba Region and Queensland Government Skills for Queensland, with amazing support from local stakeholders.
