Spring Bluff Railway Station

The train is managed by Queensland Rail and operates only during the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers in September each year. Open 365 days/year.

The cafe is currently not currently operating. Enter via McCormack Drive, off Murphys Creek Road, Murphys Creek. Spring Bluff Railway Station is a historic site with picturesque gardens all year round. During September each year the gardens are bursting with colours of spring which delight visitors young and old. The highlight of the year is

Big Band Day on Carnival Sunday where hundreds of visitors picnic in the park and enjoy sounds of a bygone era. Visit Spring Bluff at any time of the year and you'll just love it! At present, the cafe is between tenants and is not operating. The train rides from Toowoomba and return are operated by Queensland Rail and only run during the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers in September of every year. They sell out quick. Please note the steep terrain to the Station is not suitable for caravans.

Queensland Rail have now released tickets for this year's train rides to Spring Bluff!

The train to Spring Bluff will be running twice daily from 14 - 22 Sept 2024 🚂🌼🌷 Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers

All tickets are RETURN between Toowoomba Station and Spring Bluff Station. (All tickets are return tickets for either the morning or the afternoon trip, you cannot book the morning and return in the afternoon. Cost is for RETURN (to and from) trip.)

📫 The station is open all year round during daylight hours
☕ The cafe is currently closed but Picnic areas and BBQs are available for use all year round - during laylight hours
🚂 Passenger train only runs for set trips during Carnival of Flowers. We will post details and booking links on this page when dates and times are set. Bookings are only online and only through the Queensland Rail link.

Not suitable for caravans. No dogs allowed in parklands.

Carnival train rides 🚂🚂🚂

Dates and times for the Carnival train rides in September haven’t been scheduled as yet.

These times usually aren’t available until very late July/early August. Details will be posted when available.

‼️ Temporary Disruption to Pedestrian Crossing | December 7 ‼️
1045hrs to 1600hrs

Queensland Rail is planning to undertake track repairs to the railway at Spring Bluff which will result in the Pedestrian crossing being closed from 1045hrs to 1600hrs on the 7th December 2022.

The work will require earthworks equipment working in the area of the pedestrian crossing to remove the pathway and then replace it once the track repairs are complete. During this time there will be limited access across the tracks for the public.

The tact tiles at the crossing are planned to be replaced on the 14th December 2022, this will cause minimal disruption to pedestrians.

In sad news, we know how much everyone loves the train rides to Spring Bluff however the trains only run during Carnival of Flowers (September) so there are no trains until September 2023.
