We offer a range of programs and services to the community, including:

# ER EMERGENCY RELIEF
Food is available for families in need. Please arrive before 10.30am and bring photo ID, healthcare card/pension card, Medicare Card and a printed copy of your Centrelink income statement. Funded by Australian Government FaHCSIA.

# COUNSELLING
Assistance and support is available at LECNA by a professional counsellor every weekday. Bookings are essential for our counsellors. Cost: by donation.

# MEDIATION SERVICE
The LECNA Mediation Service assists people who are ending their intimate relationships, resolve issues related to the ongoing care of their children, division of their property and other financial matters. Affordable and no wait time. LECNA and the mediators involved believe greatly in the benefits of early resolution of conflict within in families and the community and that is why they have set up a service that is accessible for those that couldn’t or wouldn’t otherwise afford or enlist the help of a dispute resolution professional.

EAST LITTLIES
A fun playgroup for young children 0-5 years and their parents. Mondays 9.30 -11.30 am. Cost: free for participants.

Every Tuesday 9.30 am for a 10 am start, finishes at 12 pm. A great morning with family & friends while supporting the community and their fundraising efforts. We have great prizes available. Cost is $20, tea and coffee provided.

# LIFE SKILLS PROGRAM
Life-skills education program aims to promote the Knowledge base necessary to navigate today's society. Intervention will focus on changing those patterns of behavior which just aren’t working. Alternative styles will be offered to show new ways of looking at family issues. You will develop strong life-skills examining the way yourself and how changes in attitude will make a world of difference to your
relationship with your family. The program offers support to you by linking with a mentor who will journey with you and assist you to implement these positive changes. We will challenge you to make changes. This program is different - it is unique. This can change your life and that of your children the creative living skills acquired will be a valuable tool to help your family to cope with arising issues. Any person who is experiencing a crisis in their life or who just wants to be ready for the challenges of family relationship in today's society. The Training will be for 2 hours per week over 10 weeks conducted by Naomi. Rolling intake, join anytime. Day: Thursday (WEEKLY during the school term)

INTEREST LOAN SCHEME (NILS)
Provides access for eligible persons on low income to obtain interest-free credit of up to $2000, which may not otherwise be available to them, to purchase new basic and essential household items, such as fridge, washing machine or household furniture. Funded by National Australia Bank

Attention all Market Day Stallholders,

With our next Market Day fast approaching, please review the key details below regarding setup, pack-down, parking, and event guidelines.

Event Schedule & Timings
Date: Saturday, October 31, 2026
Market Hours: 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Setup: Site access opens at 6:30 AM. All vehicles must be unloaded promptly and moved off-site by 7:30 AM for safety.

Pack-Down: Begins at 11:30 AM. Vehicles will not be permitted back onto the site prior to 11:30 AM. Please remain mindful of pedestrians and fellow stallholders while packing up.

Parking & Driving Directions
To ensure convenient parking for our shoppers, please park all stallholder vehicles in Marlane Ct, Springwood (or surrounding side streets) once you have finished unloading.

Directions to Marlane Ct: Head southwest down Vanessa Blvd and turn left onto Laurinda Cr then turn left into Marlane Ct.

Equipment & Setup Requirements
If you require a gazebo, please bring your own table, gazebo, and sandbags/weights.

Important: Because the car park surface is bitumen, all gazebos must be properly secured using sandbags or weights.

Stall Requirements & Product Guidelines
Fundraiser Guidelines: As this event supports LECNA, we cannot accept new stallholders selling bric-a-brac, plants, hot food, or second-hand clothing to avoid competing with our primary fundraising stalls.

Food Stalls: All food items must be packaged appropriately and clearly labelled with a complete ingredient list.

Cancellations & Payments
If you need to cancel your booking, please notify us by Wednesday, October 28 at the latest. Please note that site fees are non-refundable for no-shows or changes of mind.

Free Supporting the supporters workshop – Red Cross

The Red cross invites you to a free 2 hr Supporting the Supporters Workshop, equipping you with the tools to support your own wellbeing while you support others.

Who should attend?
Whether you are supporting colleges, clients, communities, friends or family, this workshop will help you build the resilience needed to support others also looking after yourself.

About the workshop:
Introducing the psychological impacts of disruptive events and drawing from recovery principles, this workshop explores:

- The theory behind stress and impact on people
- The importance of looking after yourself while supporting others
- Where to go if you need further assistance

Touch of Hope are here tomorrow at the Springwood Community Centre (LECNA) from 9am until around 12:30pm on alternating Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Come say hi Kirstin and Anita, browse through a wide selection of books and take a few home as they are free of charge. You will find Kirstin or Anita out the front of our centre in the fenced area near our reception.
