Placed a library book hold recently? 📖

Our new automated book sorter is keeping Brisbane's library network moving between our 33 library locations.

Using RFID technology, the system identifies where each item needs to go and sorts it automatically, reducing manual handling and speeding up the journey from one library to another.

Since the operation began in April, the sorter has processed more than half a million items, helping reduce backlogs and getting books into the hands of readers faster.
It’s a great example of smart technology supporting our people and improving services for the community. 💛
