Meet Fred, the latest discovery at our Cairns Learning and Lifestyle Hub.

While giving the Hub’s vegetable garden a makeover, Dominique helped dig up something that looked more like a fossilised alien than a vegetable. It turned out to be a massive sweet potato, weighing an estimated 5kg! 🥔

Dominique has officially named the unusual find “Fred”, and the team is not entirely convinced he is not plotting something. 👀

Getting out in the garden is just one of the ways people with intellectual disability can spend their time at our Learning and Lifestyle Hubs. For Dominique and the Cairns group, it is also a chance to get hands-on, enjoy an activity together and apparently uncover giant vegetables along the way!

Want to see what else you can get up to at a Learning and Lifestyle Hub? Find out more: https://bit.ly/4gSdAlD

And if you have ever grown a weird or wonderful vegetable, share a photo in the comments. We want to see what can rival Fred. 🥕

✍️Write your Will for free - and help protect the future of people with intellectual disability at the same time.

From today until 21 September, you can write a legally binding Will online at no cost through Safewill, a service usually valued at $160.

It takes around 20 minutes, is reviewed by a lawyer from Safewill Legal, and you can make unlimited updates for 12 months. There's no obligation - this is simply an opportunity to take care of something important, for free.

If you'd like to, you can also choose to leave a gift in your Will to Endeavour Foundation, helping create opportunities for people with intellectual disability for generations to come. It's entirely optional, and your Will is yours either way.

The Ekka came to Bowen Hills! 🎪

The team at our Bowen Hills Learning and Lifestyle Hub brought a little Ekka magic, transforming the location into a carnival for the day.

There was a craft petting zoo, plenty of fun challenges and, of course, strawberry ice cream. 🍦

But the biggest laughs came at the end, when participants got the chance to soak the staff. 💦😂

A pretty great way to enjoy the Ekka fun without leaving Bowen Hills.

10, 20, 30, 40… all the way to 45 years! 🎉

There are some incredible milestones being celebrated at our Toowoomba Business Solutions site, with team members marking between 10 and 45 years of service.

Our Toowoomba Business Solutions site recently celebrated some incredible milestones, with team members marking between 10 and 45 years of service.

Over the years, they've brought their skills, commitment and personality to the team, helping make Toowoomba Business Solutions a workplace where people with intellectual disability can build skills and be part of something meaningful.

A huge congratulations to everyone celebrating a milestone. What an achievement. 👏

What an incredible day. 🎉

Yesterday we celebrated 75 years of Endeavour Foundation at a Parliamentary Reception at Parliament House in Brisbane, and we're still buzzing.

We were joined by Our Patron Her Excellency the Governor of Queensland, Minister Amanda Camm MP, the Leader of the Opposition, Members of Parliament, and so many wonderful people who've been part of our journey - including Envirosafe, our partner of 10+ years - who brought a live fly trap production line to showcase the work our teams do every day.

But the highlight, as always, was spending time with the incredible people we support.

Seventy-five years on, the work isn't finished - and days like today remind us why strong partnerships with government and business matter more than ever.

Thank you to everyone who came along today. You made this milestone truly special.

75 years down. Many more to go. 💜

After 33 years at home, Alex has made a big move. 🏡

He now lives in Supported Independent Living, and his parents Jim and Benita have watched him take on things they never expected - from helping in the kitchen to communicating more independently with support workers.

"He has come on so much," Benita said. "Things that I did not think he could do, he can actually do."

For his parents, Jim and Benita, it’s also brought greater peace of mind about the future.

“It is a big leap, but unless you give it a go, you never know,” Jim said.

Taking that first step can feel big, but Alex’s family found that a gradual transition helped make the change feel possible.

We’ve got some pretty paw-some talent on the team. 🐾

This International Dog Day, we’re introducing some of the four-legged colleagues keeping our staff on their toes.

👻 Watson, Chief Ghost Buster
Barking at ghosts until they disappear.

🧹Indy, Director of Crumb Management
Rapid crumb location, which relies on advanced sonar-nose tech to sniff out even the smallest particle.

🐕 Kimba, Director of Canine Support Services
Looking after Mr Bill, even though he’s clearly the brains of the operation.

📋 Mr Bill, Chief Strategy Officer
Delegating everything to Kimba while selectively ignoring management.

📮 Tango, Head of Security
Alerting the entire neighbourhood when Australia Post arrives.

🦴 Jess, Senior Treats Analyst
17 years of experience detecting when a “treat” is actually medicine in disguise.

Happy International Dog Day to our furry colleagues and yours! 🐶

Everyone deserves to feel heard and respected.

Speak Up with Confidence workshops help people with intellectual disability learn to speak up for themselves. Workshops are already underway, with more happening soon in Cairns, Townsville and other places across the country.

These workshops are sponsored by Endeavour Foundation and delivered by local disability organisations. They are funded by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
