ly overlooked and quickly ignorned once the original artist return home. There are thousands of these murals scattered across the world that are left in a state of decay to fade away in the harsh climates they are left in. Many are already gone forever and many more are likely only survive in photographs as a quick snapshot of a unit's identity, and a monument to a life changing experience for those that served. 'I went to war, and a garrison broke out'- The phrase became a legendary touchstone for troops during the Global War on Terror.

We worked with veteran artist .art to recreate war graffiti drawn by US Troops in a latrine at a FOB in Syria 2012 during Operation Inherent Resolve.

Records of the saying going back to at least 2003 to describe the frustration felt when high tempo combat operations are replaced by strict, mundane garrison rules that resemble the peacetime bureaucratic regulations and grinding repetitive days. Examples of a garrison breaking out include, but are not limited to strict uniform inspections, restricted areas, excessive paperwork, and rigid base rules that have the effect of stifling morale.

8x10 prints are available with free shipping- a portion of the sales will be donated to the GWOT Memorial Foundation as well as Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), which provides care and resources to all those grieving a death in the military or vet.
