🚑 Continuing Education at SCER 🚁

At Switzerland County Emergency Response (SCER), we’re committed to providing our providers with ongoing education to ensure we continue delivering the highest level of prehospital care to our community.

🔹 Thank You, PHI Indiana 7!

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the crew from PHI Indiana 7 for spending the day with us and providing outstanding Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) training. The hands-on instruction and clinical knowledge shared during the class gave our providers valuable tools that will enhance patient assessment and improve decision-making in the field.

🔹 Thank You, Air Methods Kentucky 11 – Bedford!

A special thank you to the crew from Air Methods Kentucky 11 – Bedford for an excellent training on CPAP, BiPAP, and Mechanical Ventilator Management. The practical scenarios, equipment demonstrations, and expert instruction helped strengthen our providers’ understanding of respiratory support for critically ill patients.

We are incredibly grateful to both flight programs for taking time out of their busy schedules to invest in the education of our team. Strong partnerships and a shared commitment to excellence help all of us provide better care for the communities we serve.

Today we celebrate the freedoms we enjoy, the communities we proudly serve, and the heroes—past and present—who have sacrificed to protect them.

As you gather with family and friends to enjoy cookouts, parades, and fireworks, we encourage everyone to celebrate responsibly:
🚑 Stay hydrated.
🎆 Leave fireworks to responsible adults and keep a safe distance.
🚗 Never drink or drive—designate a sober driver or call for a ride.
❤️ Keep an eye on children and loved ones around water and fireworks.

While many are celebrating, our dedicated EMTs, paramedics, and volunteers remain on duty, ready to answer the call whenever our community needs us. It is our honor to serve Switzerland County, today and every day.
