UPDATE: 5/20/2026 - All is repaired and the road is back open. Thank you.

5/19/2026 - Earlier this evening at about 5:55pm, a single vehicle accident damaged some electrical equipment at the railroad crossing over the 100 block of Parham Blvd. between S. Jackson St. and Old Estill Springs Rd. (Franklin County side)

Thankfully, there were no reported injuries. However, the power supply to the rail crossing arm is not functioning. Tullahoma Police have blocked the rail crossing out of an abundance of caution until repairs can be made to the power supply and traffic can be safely notified of an oncoming train. (Note: the accident was a single vehicle crash and did not involve a train). The intersection has been clearly marked with cones and caution tape present, but an officer is not present or manning the intersection.

Please do not cross the barricade until repairs are made and plan accordingly for an alternate route if you travel this way. As soon as we are notified repairs are completed on the rail arm, the barricade will be removed and we will update this post.

Drive safely, Tullahoma!

Today, May 15th, is Peace Officer's Memorial Day. Observed during our Nation’s time-honored Police Week, we pay tribute to the men and women of law enforcement who have devoted their lives to safeguarding our families and communities. Our grateful community joins them in honoring the memory of the fallen officers who gave their lives protecting their fellow citizens, and we stand resolutely beside the families they left behind.

In Tullahoma, we remember Officers Charles Daniel Holt, Ernest Carl Armstrong, James Flippo, Henry Travis, and Clifford Riddle. We also remember those who have lost their lives in the line of duty in our sister communities across the nation.

We also recognize those who have been injured in the line of duty and the families who have stood faithfully by their side through hardship and recovery, and we pledge our steadfast support to those who continue to wear the badge.

5/13/2026 - The Tullahoma Police Department has worked on two vehicle accidents today; one on the 1600 block of N. Jackson St. and assisted Tennessee Highway Patrol with an accident on Hwy 55 around Hawkersmith Road that involved LifeFlight services.

We would like to take this time to remind all motorists to drive safely, buckle up for every trip, eliminate distracted driving, and navigating intersections require a driver's full attention. Be careful and be safe on the roads, Tullahoma.
