Our Christian County Health Department team is wearing pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month! We’re proud to stand together in support of everyone whose lives have been touched by breast cancer.

Whether you’re a survivor, currently in treatment, supporting a loved one, remembering someone special, or navigating your own journey, please know that you are seen, supported, and never alone.

This October, we’re reminded of the importance of compassion, community, early detection, and making time for our health. We encourage everyone to talk with their healthcare provider about recommended screenings and to support one another with kindness and understanding.

Confidence isn’t about being perfect, having it all figured out, or being the most popular person in the room. It’s about learning to believe in yourself, embracing what makes you unique, and knowing that you matter just as you are.

A little reminder:
• You don’t have to be like everyone else to be amazing.
• Making mistakes is part of growing.
• It’s okay to ask for help when things feel overwhelming.
• Your worth isn’t measured by likes, grades, or what others think of you.
• You deserve kindness, from others and from yourself!

Parents and caregivers: One of the best ways to build a young person’s confidence is to remind them that they are valued for who they are, not just for what they accomplish. A little encouragement can go a long way!

Remember, taking care of your mental health includes learning to be kind to yourself.
