When Sunday School in My Language trainers arrived on Pentecost Island, they were met with fierce storms, heartbreaking loss, and discouraged teachers who felt ready to quit.
But God had other plans.
During the training, hearts were renewed, teachers recommitted to reaching the next generation, and one teacher named Evelyn encountered Jesus for the very first time. As she learned what it truly means to be created in God's image, the Holy Spirit drew her to the Father—and she was born again.

In 1889, a young doctor and his wife stepped off a boat in Chiang Mai and within an hour, he was already treating his first patient — from the porch of his home.

Dr. James McKean didn't come to Thailand with a grand strategy. He came with a heart for the outcasts: the lepers begging for food under a bridge, reduced to the margins of society. What followed was 164 acres of reclaimed land, a leprosarium, a hospital, a Bible school, and an entire community of people who had been scorned by the world but were restored to the image of God. That faithfulness sparked a revival in Chiangkham in 1985 that sent pastors across all of Thailand — and its fruit is still being harvested today, 137 years later.

This is the story behind Chiangkham Christian School. And this is what happens when someone gives what God has placed in their hands.

The work is hard. The hours are long. And sometimes, the tears come before the harvest.
The faithful men and women serving orphaned, abandoned, and vulnerable children across Asia Pacific know this well. They show up in the hard places, carry the heavy burdens, and plant seeds of love and hope in soil that doesn't always look promising. But God's promise is unchanging — the harvest is coming.

In Thailand, some children are denied an education simply because of their nationality, poverty, or the family they were born into. That closed door doesn't have to be the end of their story.

The Banner Learning Center provides at-risk youth ages 12–18 with a laptop, online schooling, nutritious meals, and a community of volunteers who walk alongside them through Bible study, tutoring, and chapel services. For $500, one child receives a full year of educational assistance — a chance they would never have had otherwise. What begins as access to a laptop becomes access to a future.

We ask that You would pour out Your love on the orphaned, abandoned, and vulnerable children You see and know by name. Protect them from harm, provide for their needs, and let them know they are not forgotten.
