The Jackson County Commission will accept applications for a
Driver I with the Solid Waste Department from May 29 – June 12, 2026, between the hours of 8:00am-4:30pm.
Responsibilities: Drives truck and picks up household garbage on assigned routes, operates and performs routine maintenance on truck, and provides exceptional customer service. The driver will be responsible for following all safety guidelines and must possess a minimum of a Class B CDL.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm
Starting Pay - $16.26 - $17.76/hour based on experience
