🎃👻 What a BOO-tiful day in Novato! 🧡

We had a blast at Sunday's Trunk or Treat, meeting many wonderful community members and decorating mini pumpkins with more than 100 costumed kiddos! 🎨🎃

From superheroes to princesses and everything in between, the creativity, smiles, and Halloween spirit were everywhere!

A big thank you to Quest Church for bringing our community together for such a fun-filled afternoon. We loved being part of the festivities and connecting with local families!🍬💛

Now through November 13th, purchase a bag of groceries at United Markets as a donation to Marin Foster Care. We will ensure they get in the hands of transition age youth and resource families who could use some extra support filling their pantries. 🥫🥨

Join us at Mog Asu W**e Bar on Sundays in November from 4-6:30 pm for bingo and w**e nights. Bingo proceeds benefit Marin Foster Care. Bring some friends, help us spread awareness of foster care needs in our community, and catch up over bingo, w**e, and small plates. Located at The Cove in Tiburon, Mog Asu is a chic 21+ w**e lounge. If a child knocked on your door asking for help, would you?

Imagine being removed from your home—and then having to leave your school, your friends, your teachers, and your entire community behind, too.

For many children entering foster care in Marin, that’s the reality because 35% of are placed outside the county. There simply aren’t enough local foster homes available.

We can change that. 💙

Every new foster family in Marin creates another opportunity for a child to remain close to the familiar people, routines, and places that can provide connection and stability during an incredibly difficult time.

You don’t have to know if fostering is right for you to start the conversation. You just have to be curious.

Ask questions. Learn what fostering really looks like. Hear from people who have done it. There’s no pressure and no commitment.

🥫 LET'S FILL THE SHELVES! 🥫💙

We're kicking off our annual Food Drive to help stock the pantries of transition-age foster youth, resource families, and families working toward reunification!

Between now and November 16th, we're collecting nonperishable food items at our Community Resource Center, and we'd love your help!

💛 Want to make an even bigger impact? Rally your friends, neighbors, coworkers, or community group and host a food drive of your own!

Get creative and divide up the shopping list to help us provide a variety of nutritious foods:

🥣 Team 1: Cereals, granola bars & snacks

🥫 Team 2: Soups, canned tuna & canned goods

🥜 Team 3: Peanut butter, jelly & other pantry staples

🍝 Team 4: Pasta, rice & sauces

A little friendly competition can go a long way toward filling our shelves!

Every donation helps ease the burden of grocery expenses and ensures that the youth and families we serve have access to nourishing meals.

Meet Marcella, a Marin Eagle Scout, who selected Marin Foster Care as her beneficiary for her Eagle Scout Service Project. She organized and collected high quality items (an astonishing $27,000 worth of donations!) to create 53 transition care backpacks for kids 0-23 years old and 130 care kits for all ages.

Her goal was to create a bag filled with goods that are similar in quality to a foster youth's peers, in the hopes that one more hurdle will be eliminated as they transition to a new home. To help meet her goal, she had a fairy house building meetup where people donated towards her project, and they got to make fairy houses.

Amazing! We are so fortunate to receive these incredible gifts and know they will provide great comfort to our community's foster youth. Thank you, Marcella! 💛🥰

Our team just returned from an informative and engaging tour of EO and everyone for every body. We learned about their commitment to safe and high quality ingredients, to providing jobs in Marin County, and sustainability. So grateful for their partnership and support of our foster youth and families through their product donations.
