Come on out and join us tomorrow morning for our second Team Up to Clean Up Event this weekend in support of our EPIC Litter Reduction Campaign.

We'll be meeting in the front Hamilton School parking lot at 9:00am. We'll be teaming up with Keep Novato Beautiful, Novato Unified School District, and Clean Marin to clean up the neighborhood, and we hope to see you there!

Things to Know Thursdays - How to Report Illegal Discharges

It is illegal to discharge anything other that clean rainwater to the storm drain. If you see anything discharging to a curb, parking lot, street, or storm drain, or directly to any waterway in Marin, report it immediately!

Contact information for 11 municipalities and the county are listed on our Illegal Discharge Contacts page or you can simply fill out the online form and attach pictures of the discharge. The terms Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) and Low Impact Development (LID) are similar approaches to stormwater management that protect, restore, or mimic the natural water cycle in the urban environment. Simply put, the goal is to divert stormwater into natural areas where the water can be filtered and infiltrate rather than run directly into storm drains and carry pollutants into our creeks.
