Rideshare drivers spend a lot of time on California's roads. The CPUC’s RIDE program is designed to make going electric more accessible for drivers.

The program helps eligible low- and moderate-income, high-volume rideshare drivers transition to zero-emission vehicles with financial assistance for purchasing or leasing a vehicle and charging.

That can mean lower operating costs for drivers while helping reduce transportation emissions across California.

Applications open Nov. 2.

This week we joined the City of Ukiah and Vero Fiber Networks to celebrate an exciting milestone for the City of Ukiah Gigabit Fiber Project.

Supported by a $5.6 million CPUC Last Mile Federal Funding Account grant, the project will bring fast, reliable broadband service to approximately 9,000 Californians and help strengthen connectivity for homes, businesses, and critical community facilities.
Projects like this show what is possible when state and local partners work together to build the infrastructure needed to help close the digital divide.
