🚧 UPCOMING NIGHTTIME FULL CLOSURE 🚧
The Mid County Parkway Ramona Expressway Project is planning a nighttime full closure of eastbound and westbound Ramona Expressway this Thursday, October 29 to allow crews to perform electrical work.

📍 Ramona Expressway between Rider Street and Warren Road

⏰ Thursday, October 29, 9 p.m. - 5 a.m.

⚠️ Eastbound Detour: Southbound I-215 to eastbound SR-74 to northbound North Sanderson Avenue to Ramona Expressway.

⚠️ Westbound Detour: Southbound North Sanderson Avenue to westbound SR-74 to northbound I-215 to Ramona Expressway.

Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and follow posted traffic control signs.

Additional intermittent lane closures will also take place on Wednesday, October 28th from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., but will not require detours.

Crews worked around the clock over the weekend at the South Perris Station. During a two-day closure of the 91/Perris Valley Line, crews safely constructed a new retaining wall, graded the ground for a platform extension, demolished a section of the existing platform, and completed track work as part of RCTC’s Perris-South Metrolink Station and Layover Facility Project.

We appreciate the patience of Metrolink riders as we continue to improve our region’s rail network and provide residents with more travel choices.

REMINDER: WEEKEND CLOSURE OF THE 91/PERRIS VALLEY LINE – October 17 and 18🚆

Metrolink train service will be suspended at four 91/Perris Valley Line stations this Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18 while crews perform critical construction activities for RCTC’s Perris-South Metrolink Station and Layover Facility Project.

No Metrolink train service at:
🚉 Perris-South
🚉 Perris-Downtown
🚉 Moreno Valley/March Field
🚉 Riverside-Hunter Park/UCR

Metrolink service from Riverside-Downtown and stations west will continue to operate on the regular weekend schedule.

No alternate bus or shuttle service will be provided at the affected stations. Riders are urged to plan ahead and arrange alternate transportation. Metrolink service will resume on Monday, October 19.

Crews seen here are installing and aligning wooden formwork in preparation for upcoming concrete placement. This framing will help create the structural support for the ongoing roadway and bridge improvements near the Potrero Boulevard interchange.

[UPDATE 10/8/26] The fire is 100% contained and is no longer in patrol status. All resources have been released and returned to their respective units. No injuries were reported.

[UPDATE 10/7/2026 9:00 PM] The fire is now 99% contained and crews will be in patrol status throughout the night. This will be the last update of the night.

[UPDATE 10/7/2026 7:30 AM] The fire remains at 173 acres and is now 60% contained. Crews worked the steep terrain last night and will be on working to contain the remainder of the fire line as they mop-up.

[UPDATE 4:00PM] The fire is mapped at 173 acres and is 5% contained. Air and ground resources have made significant progress establishing hose line around the fire perimeter and strengthening containment lines.
Crews will continue working throughout the evening to extinguish hot spots, conduct mop-up operations, and further strengthen control lines.

🚧 Starting Monday, September 28, 2026, two boarding/exiting locations at the Perris-South Metrolink Station will be temporarily closed as part of RCTC’s Perris-South Metrolink Station and Layover Facility Project. The closures are necessary to allow crews to reconstruct and extend the existing platform and for the safety of riders.

The closures are expected to remain in effect through July 2027. Passengers are advised to follow designated boarding/exiting locations during this period.
