A reminder to our Purcell Public Schools families that school will be closed Monday, September 7th, in observance of Labor Day.

We hope all of you enjoy a safe and relaxing long weekend!

School will resume on Tuesday, September 8th.

Our Jr. High softball girls put on a show today with a great comeback win! Not only did they comeback, they exploded in the bottom of the 3rd inning to run rule the Lindsay Lady Leopards. Great job all around ladies!

You know who else won last night?? Our PJH Cheer Squad! They were loud, in sync and full of enthusiasm…even in the hot temperatures. We love our cheerleaders, way to go ladies!

Our Dragon football teams traveled to Bridge Creek Tuesday night and left with 3 W’s!
Our 7th grade started off the night with a dominating performance and a 18-6 win. Short on experience, but long on grit and determination. Great job 7th grade!

Our 8th grade continued where the 7th graders left off. They won 30-22 but the score was closer than the game. A hard fought, 4 minute drive to end the game! Super proud of our 8th grade leaders.

Our former Jr. High players played in the nightcap and won 30-0.

All in all, a great (and late) night to be a dragon!

What a great first meet for our Jr. High Cross Country team yesterday in Marlow!

Delilah Thomas placed 13th of 55 runners and finished with a time of 7:36.

Yahir Chavez placed 12th of 76 runners and finished with a time of 7:00.

Karsyn Craig placed 14th of 76 runners and finished with a time of 7:06.

Riley Mays placed 20th of 76 runners and finished with a time of 7:11.

Great job by these medalist and the entire team who gave great effort. We’re expecting solid growth from this team and we can’t wait to see them improve all season!

Your Purcell Junior High Lady Dragons took on Tuttle tonight for some fast pitch softball action! While they didn't come up with the W they showed a lot of growth and grit on the diamond tonight! Keep up the great work ladies! Always proud of you! 🐉

Our Dragon staff welcomed our newest Lil' dragon Callum Bridger Rea! Callum showed up fashionably early last Sunday and he and mom, Mandy (Clay) Rea, are doing great! Our staff brought diapers and lots of delicious food for a potluck.
Congratulations to Coach Rea and family!
