Hey there Buckingham customers, to help keep things organized and avoid missed pickups, here's a reminder of proper cart placement. Your carts need to:

☑️ Be curbside the night before or by 6:30am on collection day
☑️ Facing the right direction with wheels pointed towards the house.
☑️ Have 3 feet of space around them.

Thanks for your cooperation in making pickup days as smooth as possible. 😊

Halloween is just around the corner so we wanted to give you some sustainable tips to make your Halloween just a little more "green." 🎃

◾Reuse, donate or thrift your costume
◾Host a costume swap & trade your kids costumes with other parents

Plastic bags are scary!!! So say NO to single use plastic bags and instead pick a more sustainable choice this fall.

Check out these haunting facts about plastic bags:
◾ It takes 1,000 years for a plastic bag to degrade in a landfill. (2)
◾ Plastic bags break into microplastics and nanoplastic particles that hurt our environment and contaminate our water, food, and soil. (1)
◾ They can be accidentally eaten by the wildlife both in AND out of the ocean.
◾ 5 trillion plastic bags are used a year in the world." (2)

ATTENTION CITY OF PRIOR LAKE RESIDENTS:

With street sweeping currently underway, and snow plowing season quickly approaching, we ask everyone to place your trash & recycling containers off the street & behind the curb on collection days. This helps keep our roads safe, accessible and helps ensure:
✅ Street sweepers can operate effectively
✅ Snow plows can clear roads more safely and efficiently
✅ Reduced risk of damage to containers and equipment

Please share this post with your Prior Lake friends. We thank you for your corporation.

We are so honored to help make someone's day so special. Thank you for the kind words Sarah!

"Although unrelated to actual trash services, I wanted to spread the word that Buckingham went out of their way to make my son's 5th birthday extremely special. He is a trash obsessed little boy that only requested one thing - a garbage truck! Not only did the wonderful office staff help to coordinate a special event at my son's daycare, but "Grandpa Greg" let all the kids climb up in the truck! He was such a sweet, welcoming man who showed the arm going up and down. He brought all of the kids special goodie bags and even gave the birthday boy his own present. Thank you to Buckingham for showing how much community matters to you!"

We are so lucky to have people like you a part of the Buckingham family - Thank you again from the whole team. 😊❤
