Join us as we gather to honor and remember on the 25th Anniversary of September 11, 2001.
The St. Landry Parish Government and the St. Landry Parish Veterans Memorial invite the public to attend our September 11th Commemoration Ceremony. Together, we will pay tribute to the 2,977 victims lost, the 441 first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice, and all the families whose lives were forever changed.
📅 Date: Friday, September 11, 2026
⏰ Time: 8:30 A.M.
📍 Location: St. Landry Parish Courthouse
⚠️ IMPORTANT PARKING & TRAFFIC NOTICE: To ensure safety and honor our local emergency personnel, parking spaces in front of the St. Landry Parish Courthouse will be strictly RESERVED for First Responders (Sheriff, Police, Marshal Units, Fire Trucks, and Ambulances).
Additionally, the Courthouse Square will be BLOCKED from the corner of West Landry Street to Bellevue Street for the duration of the ceremony.
We encourage our entire community to attend as we stand together to remember and honor those who serve.

It’s one of our favorite traditions—our PBIS/Jamboree Kickoff! 🏈📣

Our PBHS football players, cheerleaders, and friends showed up BIG Friday morning to welcome our Lil Red Hots—helping them off buses, out of cars, and into school with high-fives, smiles, and tons of Port Barre spirit! ❤️🤍

From our littlest Lil Red Hots to our biggest Red Devils… WE ARE PORT BARRE! 🔥🏈

If you pick up your child in the car rider line, please refrain from using our neighbors' private driveways to turn your vehicle around. We want to ensure we are being respectful of the surrounding community and their private property while managing daily traffic.
