Today we received a LARGE quantity of rescue food! 👏🏻

You may wonder what rescue food is?!

Well let us tell you! 📣📣📣

Rescue Food is the practice of collecting safe, wholesome, edible food that would otherwise be thrown away and redirecting it to people experiencing hunger or food insecurity.

Where does rescue food come from?!

🛒🥫Grocery stores and markets: Unsold, close-dated, or cosmetically imperfect items (like dented cans or bruised fruit) pulled from shelves.

🚜🌾 Farms and agricultural producers: Surplus crops, bumper harvests, or vegetables that are oddly shaped or too small for commercial standards.

🍽️ Restaurants, caterers, and events: Prepared food left over after events, banquets, or daily service.

🏫 Schools and cafeterias: Unopened, prepackaged items collected via student "share tables".

♥️
