Last night at approximately 630 pm Paramus Engine 4 was requested to Maywood to provide coverage at their fire headquarters while they operated at the scene of a working fire. Shortly after arriving Engine 4 was requested to the scene where they worked with Maywood Engine 18 to setup a Mass Decontamination area for fire personnel. Paramus Fire Chief 40 (Chief Perez) was in charge of Decon Operations. A great job was done by the Maywood Fire Department and all mutual aid companies in confining the fire to the area of origin.

Due to the extremely dry conditions we are experiencing, The New Jersey Forest Fire Service has implemented Stage 3 Fire Restrictions statewide in response to prolonged dry conditions and increased wildfire activity. The following restrictions have been implemented for all of New Jersey not just wooded areas. Please be responsible and adhere to the restrictions.

STAGE 3 FIRE RESTRICTIONS
🚫🔥 All fires are prohibited unless contained in an elevated stove using only propane, natural gas, gas, or electricity.
🚫🔥 No charcoal fires are allowed.
