On 5-9-26 at 5:44AM, Billie S. Wirth (49), of Sumner, was arrested for Driving While License Suspended & a Clay County Warrant for Failure to Appear following a traffic stop at West & Hwy. 50.

On 5-11-26 at 11:06PM, Victor A. Mora Arteaga (37), of Olney, was arrested for Obstructing Identification following an investigation at
Hwy. 50 & Cottage Hill.

On 5-12-26 at 11:56AM, Troy L. Miller (55), of Olney, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine following a probation search at the 300 block of W. Chestnut St.

⚠️ SCAM ALERT ⚠️

The Richland County Sheriff’s Office would like to make the public aware of a scam that has been circulating in our area.

Scammers are targeting family members of individuals who have recently been arrested. The caller tells the victim that money must be sent — sometimes as much as $1,175 — in order for their family member to be released from jail on an ankle monitor or placed on pre-trial release.

Victims are also being told they will receive the money back, minus a $75 fee.

These calls are commonly coming from a “No Caller ID” number.

If you receive a call similar to this:
❌ Do NOT send money
❌ Do NOT provide personal information
❌ Hang up immediately

On 5-4-26 at 3:14PM, Starla D. Hanna (33), of Olney, was arrested for Driving While License Suspended, Operating Motor Vehicle while Registration Suspended & Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle following a traffic stop at the 700 block E. Main St.

On 5-4-26 at 4:48PM, Jacob L. Tracy (29), of Olney, was arrested for Domestic Battery following an investigation at Butler & Ludlow.

On 4-29-26 at 7:22PM, Wesley W. Pride (45), of Olney, was arrested for Driving License Suspended & Operation of Motorcycle without Endorsement following a traffic stop at Mack & Beltona Dr.

4-22-26 at 8:16AM, Jacob L. Tracy (29), Olney, was arrested Possession of Controlled Substance & Possession of Methamphetamine following a probation search at the 400 block of W. Butler St.
Also arrested was Jennie L. Tolliver (34), of Olney, for Possession Methamphetamine.

On 4-23-26 at 5:26PM, Jacob L. Tracy (29), of Olney, was arrested for Domestic Battery following an investigation at Butler & Ludlow.

On 4-24-26 at 11:04PM, Matthew L. Roof (33), of Bloomington, was arrested for Driving While License Revoked & on a McClean County Warrant for Failure to Appear following a traffic stop at Cherry & West St.

On 4-25-26 at 1:37AM, Cody R. Buchanan (35), of Geff, was arrested for Driving While License Suspended following a traffic stop at Chestnut & Morgan St.

On 4-25-26 at 9:18AM, Kent D. Wilson (38), of Olney, was arrested for Driving While License Revoked & Operation of Uninsured Motor Vehicle following a traffic stop at Cherry & Baltimore.

On 4-17-26 at 7:55AM, Jonathan M. Bellinger (39), of Olney, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, DUI & Expired Registration following at traffic stop at Butler & Ludlow.

On 4-17-26 at 7:27PM, Edward P. Shaw (65), of Dundas, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct following an investigation at the 500 block of N. West St.

On 4-20-26 at 5:53PM, Brianna P. Ireland (22), of Olney, was arrested on a Pike County Warrant for Failure to Appear at the 900 block of Buckeye St.

On 4-11-26 at 2:24AM, Beau E. Propes (21), of Flora, was arrested for DUI & Possession of Cannabis in Motor Vehicle following an investigation on Hwy. 50.
