Every ramp tells a story, and this week's project was a great example of volunteers coming together to solve a unique challenge.

After preparing ramp sections in advance, our Ramps & Rails crew headed out, ready to build! The existing deck needed reinforcement before work could begin, and from there, the team carefully pieced together a custom ramp system designed to work with the property's terrain and layout.

Over two days, volunteers installed landing platforms, assembled and connected multiple ramp sections, adjusted slopes, and added the supports needed to create a safe and dependable access route. By the end of the project, what began as a collection of modules had been transformed into a sturdy pathway that will make daily life easier and safer for a local homeowner.

A heartfelt thank you to Brendan, Michael, Adrian, Brent, Lynne, Giovanni, Jim, Chris, Larry, and our Lions Club volunteers who helped bring this project to life. Their dedication, craftsmanship, and willingness to lend a hand continue to make a lasting difference throughout our community.

Accessibility changes lives, and volunteers make it happen. ❤️

Mission Monday: It’s About Homeowners

At Habitat for Humanity, our mission is about more than building houses. It’s about helping people build stronger, more stable futures.

Every home we build represents a new beginning for a homeowner and their family: a place where children can grow, memories can be made, and families can feel the security and pride that comes with owning a home.

Habitat homeowners work alongside volunteers, contribute sweat equity, and invest in their own future. Together, we’re not simply building homes; we’re building hope, stability, and opportunity.

This Mission Monday, we’re celebrating the homeowners at the heart of everything we do. Because everyone deserves a decent place to call home.

Mission Monday

A home is more than a place to live. For the families we work alongside, having a safe and affordable home can mean stability and a sense of belonging. Every wall we raise and every hour volunteered helps create something that lasts far beyond the build itself. It helps create a place where a family can grow, feel secure, and call home.

There are many ways to be part of that work. You can volunteer your time, donate to help make a build possible, or share our mission with others in the community.

This Mission Monday, we invite you to think about what home means to you and how you can help make that feeling possible for another family. Together, we can build more than houses; we can help build homes!
