Midland, we’ve got rain expected over the next few days, and you know what that means…

🚗 Turn Around, Don’t Drown! Never drive through flooded roadways.
🚧 Obey barricades! They’re there for your safety, not decoration.
🌊 Avoid low-lying areas and intersections prone to flooding.
⚠️ Slow down, allow extra travel time and never underestimate the power of moving water.

And remember, our firefighters are always ready to help, but let’s do our part to keep everyone safe and dry!

Trucks, treats and a whole lot of Halloween fun! 🚒🎃

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and to all our community partners who helped make this event a success. We can’t wait to do it again next year! 👻

The Midland Fire Department has officially placed new LIFEPAK 35 cardiac monitors into service, giving our first responders advanced tools to assess, monitor and care for patients during emergencies.

These new monitors will help strengthen our emergency response capabilities and ensure consistent, high-quality cardiac care across our EMS units.
➡ Our crews have also completed hands-on training to prepare for using this equipment in the field.

This investment is another step in our ongoing commitment to providing safe, effective and timely emergency care when our community needs it most!

Training today. Prepared for tomorrow. 🔥

Last week, crews took their training to new heights, practicing vertical ventilation techniques that help release heat, smoke and dangerous gases from burning structures.

From pitched and flat roofs to challenging low-visibility conditions, firefighters put their skills to the test in scenarios designed to mirror real-life emergencies!
